What are the Energy Assessor's duties?
- The Inspector with make arrangements to inspect the property at a time to suit the home owner or occupier.
- The Inspector carries out an inspection of the property, records all necessary details, such as nature of construction, heating, hot water systems and controls, insulation levels and measurements. The Inspector will make enquiries of the home owner/occupier where ever possible.
- The Inspector will then submit the inspection data, via a government approved accreditation scheme at which stage the appropriate qualirt assurance audits are carried out.
How Long does a Energy Performance Certificate last?
- Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) = 12 month.
- Rental Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) = 10 years.
