Home Information Packs (HIP's)
As of 10 September every home put on the market with three or more bedrooms needs a Home Information Pack.
If you are selling your home, it is now a legal requirement to have confirmation that a Home Information Pack (HIP) has been ordered before you can begin to market a property, either privately or with an Estate Agent.
The Eco Energy Assessors can compile your Home Information Pack and we can carry out the Energy Performance Certificate as part of your Home Information Pack.
We are unlike most HIP Pack Providers that do not offer both services. This will make the clients life more stress free from having to chase both. They are both done in a fast and effient manner under the same roof by Eco-Energy Assessors.
What are HIP Packs?
The Home Information Pack includes an Energy Performance Certificate, containing advice on how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills. Also included are documents such as a sale statement, searches and evidence of title.
If you're a buyer, you should ask for a Home Information Pack, which contains an Energy Performance Certificate and a number of other compulsory documents.

The HIP Code
The HIP Code provides protection for homebuyers, sellers, estate agents, conveyancers and mortgage lenders who rely on the information included in a Home Information Pack (HIP) provided on residential property within England and Wales. It sets out minimum standards which HIP providers have to meet.
All HIPs produced by us comply with this standard and include the HIP Code logo.
